Responsibilities

Maintain athenaOne environment, including but not limited to athenaClinicals, athenaCollector, and Athena Communicator modules
Manage workflows for scheduling, charge capture, billing, and clinical documentation
Troubleshoot complex issues, including payer enrollment, templates, and communicator tables
Support upgrades, new feature adoption, and user training initiatives
Deliver at-the-elbow support for end users during go-live and major updates
Develop job aides and training materials tailored to clinical and administrative staff
Conduct group and one-on-one training sessions for new hires and ongoing education
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational security standards
Serve as primary liaison with athenahealth support for clinical and RCM issues, integration management, and troubleshooting. Coordinate with vendor for escalations, system updates, and interface enhancements
Provide Tier 2/3 support for PACS and imaging systems
Configure and validate integrations between imaging modalities and Studycast cloud platform
Maintain system dictionaries, profiles, and workflow tables for diagnostic imaging
Collaborate with radiology and cardiology teams to optimize image storage and retrieval
Deliver at-the-elbow support for imaging staff and troubleshoot workflow issues
Develop job aides and quick reference guides for Studycast PACS users
Document resolutions and create knowledge base articles for recurring issues
Act as point of contact with Studycast vendor for clinical workflow, integration management, and troubleshooting. Manage vendor escalations and coordinate resolution of imaging system issues
Oversee design, build, testing, and implementation of SIS applications for perioperative workflows
Manage upgrades and new system implementations for ASC scheduling, documentation, and compliance
Support anesthesia information management and ASC revenue cycle processes
Deliver at-the-elbow support for surgical staff during system changes and go-live events
Develop job aides and training resources for SIS modules and workflows
Ensure adherence to CMS, AAAHC, and HIPAA standards for surgical environments
Provide training and technical support to surgical staff and maintain system documentation
Liaise with SIS vendor for clinical workflow optimization, RCM issues, integration management, and troubleshooting. Coordinate vendor support for upgrades and system enhancements
Configure and maintain Vitaldx modules for specimen processing, including verification, grossing, embedding, and microtomy
Manage electronic orders, case workflows, and structured diagnostic reporting
Integrate Vitaldx with EMR/PMS systems and lab instruments using HL7 interfaces
Deliver at-the-elbow support for laboratory staff and troubleshoot workflow issues
Develop job aides, training materials, and quick reference guides for Vitaldx users
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CLIA, and CAP standards while maintaining data integrity and security
Develop dashboards and reports for operational performance and regulatory audits
Serve as main contact for Vitalaxis’s Vitaldx vendor regarding clinical workflow, RCM, integration management, and troubleshooting. Coordinate vendor support for system issues and enhancements
Design, deliver, and continuously improve training programs for all supported systems (athenaOne, Studycast PACS, SIS, Vitaldx). Conduct onboarding for new hires, refresher courses for existing staff, and targeted sessions for new feature rollouts or workflow changes
Provide hands-on, real-time assistance to end users during go-live events, system upgrades, and workflow transitions. Serve as the first point of contact for clinical, administrative, and technical staff, ensuring rapid issue resolution and user confidence
Create, update, and distribute job aides, quick reference guides, and step-by-step instructions tailored to diverse user groups. Ensure materials are accessible, clear, and aligned with best practices and compliance requirements
Collaborate with department leaders and subject matter experts to assess training needs and develop customized materials for clinical, revenue cycle, and operational teams. Incorporate feedback from users to refine content and delivery methods
Maintain a centralized repository of training resources, FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and workflow documentation. Regularly review and update content to reflect system changes, regulatory updates, and user feedback
Evaluate training outcomes through surveys, assessments, and performance metrics. Use data-driven insights to enhance training programs, job aides, and support strategies
Work closely with IT, clinical, and operational teams to ensure training and support initiatives are integrated with broader organizational goals and technology strategies
Ensure all training and support materials meet HIPAA, CLIA, CAP, CMS, and other relevant regulatory standards. Promote a culture of compliance and security awareness through ongoing education

Required

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare IT, or equivalent experience
3+ years in healthcare application support, with hands-on experience in supporting an EHR, PACS, or LIS
Technical skills: IT infrastructure fundamentals, integrations, HIPAA and cyber security awareness
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Familiarity with PDCA process and six-sigma methodology
Experience with regulatory compliance (HIPAA, JCAHO, CLIA)
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior analysts
