InternHarris Group is a consulting engineering firm seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern to join their Charleston team for the 2026 Summer Internship. The role involves supporting lead Mechanical Engineers on various industrial facility projects and collaborating with multidisciplined teams.

Responsibilities
Provide support to the lead Mechanical Engineers in creating project deliverables such as piping & mechanical drawings, PFDs & P&IDs, design specifications, equipment data sheets, field investigations, and calculations
Work issues across multiple functions including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and marketing
Utilize engineering software applications like Revit, AutoCAD, and Pipeflo
Present an end-of-internship overview of completed objectives, tasks, and projects
Qualification
Required
Enrollment in a Mechanical or Chemical/Process Engineering academic program at an ABET-accredited institution with an expected graduation date in 2027
Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
Ability to work in Harris Group's Charleston office and be willing to travel off site on occasion
Excellent interpersonal, teaming, and communication skills
Experience using Microsoft Office or other word processing and spreadsheet applications
Preferred
Previous internship or experience with piping and mechanical systems
