Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial close
Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Review financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP (or IFRS, as applicable)
Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies and procedures
Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with SOX or other regulatory requirements (if applicable)
Lead and mentor accounting team members, including performance management and professional development
Partner with FP&A, tax, and operational teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and business initiatives
Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors and manage audit deliverables
Support technical accounting matters, including new accounting standards and complex transactions
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred)
CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people management
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
Experience with month-end close, financial statement preparation, and audits
Prior experience in public accounting and/or industry accounting environments
Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred
Experience in a SOX-compliant or highly regulated environment
Exposure to technical accounting areas such as revenue recognition, equity, or business combinations
Experience supporting system implementations or accounting process transformations
