Litigation Legal Assistant
Responsibilities
Organize and maintain case files, including photocopying, filing, typing, and updating case indices
Assist with the preparation and filing of trademark applications, renewals, and responses
Research, retrieve, collect, and compile case materials for use by attorneys and experts
Assist as needed with trial preparation, including trial exhibits, witness notebooks, and pleadings
Address all aspects of discovery, including drafting form pleadings
Prepare motions, pleadings, and declarations
Open files for new matters and follow attorney directives regarding case and client guidelines
Manage attorney calendar including meetings, professional conferences, events, depositions, case schedules, and all rules-based deadlines (for varying jurisdictions)
Qualification
Required
2-3+ years' prior experience as legal assistant
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook as well as Adobe Acrobat
Working knowledge of litigation documents
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
