Responsibilities
Lead and execute month-end and year-end closing processes for real estate development projects, including reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and producing financial reports
Monitor and manage project costs, including construction expenses, land acquisition costs, and development-related expenditures. Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations
Work closely with vendors, reviewing and coding invoices, ensuring accuracy, and processing payments in a timely manner. Resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies
Consolidate internal and external financial ledgers, reconciling intercompany accounts, and ensuring accurate financial reporting for the entire organization
Maintain and monitor project cash flows, ensuring adequate funding for development activities and identifying potential cash flow challenges
Conduct in-depth financial analysis of real estate development projects, assessing investment returns, profitability, and risk factors. Provide insights to support decision-making
Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and reviews, ensuring accurate and timely provision of financial data and documentation
Handle various administrative tasks related to financial recordkeeping, document management, and other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Hands-on technical accounting expertise
Experience in managing complex accounting processes across multiple entities
Ability to ensure accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and controls
Experience in leading and executing month-end and year-end closing processes
Ability to monitor and manage project costs, including construction expenses and land acquisition costs
Experience in reviewing and coding invoices, ensuring accuracy, and processing payments
Ability to consolidate internal and external financial ledgers and reconcile intercompany accounts
Experience in maintaining and monitoring project cash flows
Ability to conduct in-depth financial analysis of real estate development projects
