Payroll Specialist
LHH is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations for approximately 150 US-based employees. This role requires strong payroll expertise and involves full-cycle payroll processing, compliance, and collaboration with Accounting and HR.

Responsibilities
Full‑cycle payroll processing for ~150 US employees
Execute payroll accurately and on schedule using UKG (hard requirement)
Handle year‑end processes, including W‑2s and reconciliations
Prepare payroll journals and collaborate with Accounting on general ledger entries
Manage payroll taxes, filings, and compliance across multiple states
Maintain payroll records, audits, and reporting
Work cross‑functionally with Accounting and HR to ensure accuracy in timekeeping, employee data, and deductions
Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and discretion
Identify process improvements and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Qualification
Required
UKG payroll experience (mandatory)
Proven experience in full-cycle, high-volume payroll processing
Familiarity with payroll taxes, year-end tasks, and multi-state payroll requirements
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently in a stand-alone payroll function
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred
Accounting background highly preferred (role reports into Accounting)
