This role will focus primarily on Accounts Receivable functions, including invoicing, cash application, and customer account reconciliation, while also supporting general accounting activities.

Responsibilities
Apply customer payments (ACH, wire, check, credit card) to the appropriate accounts
Monitor and reconcile AR aging reports
Follow up with customers regarding outstanding balances and resolve billing discrepancies
Maintain accurate customer account records in the accounting system
Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Support financial reporting and requests as needed
Maintain organized financial documentation and records
Use Excel extensively for data entry, analysis, and reconciliation
Create and maintain spreadsheets using formulas (SUM, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF statements, pivot tables preferred)
Analyze large data sets to identify discrepancies and trends
Qualification
Required
Basic understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Preferred
Experience with accounting software (e.g. Business Central)
Familiarity with AR aging, reconciliations, and cash application
