Responsibilities
The Software Engineer is responsible for assessing, designing, developing, supporting and implementing the State’s Member Management replacement project and any other projects assigned. This position will be a part of a Production Support group under the direction of Clemson’s technical project manager for support & maintenance of all new technology development work
Design, develop, and implement enterprise-level web-based distributed systems
Frontend and backend web development including all user interfaces for South Carolina’s Medicaid web application and associated web services
Design platform-independent, mobile-ready user interfaces
Develop Java applications using industry-standard frameworks such as Spring
Plan and implement scalable and highly available applications
Participate in full software development lifecycle from analysis and design through testing and deployment
Strong emphasis on unit testing and system testing
Communicate with business users, analysts, DBAs, QA, infrastructure staff, and support teams
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience with Tapestry
7+ years of experience with JavaScript
7+ years of experience with jQuery
7+ years of experience with EDI Transactions
7+ years of experience with JDBC
Preferred
Experience with Java
Experience with UC4
Experience with ActiveMQ
Experience with Unix variants and Unix scripting
Experience with SQL
Experience with MongoDB
Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) experience
