InternTRUMPF is a family-run, high-tech company seeking candidates for an internship in the Internal Logistics Department at their Farmington, CT location. This internship will provide a college-level student with practical experience to enhance their classroom learning while working on various logistics and warehouse improvement projects.

Responsibilities
Analyze internal logistics and warehouse processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
Assist with warehouse layout analysis and material placement optimization to reduce travel time and improve pull efficiency
Support cycle counting activities, inventory accuracy investigations, and root cause analysis
Collect, clean, and analyze operational data related to inventory, material movement, and warehouse performance
Create process maps, layouts, and documentation for current and future-state processes
Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics and inventory
Support continuous improvement and Lean initiatives across internal logistics operations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, manufacturing, and planning
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Data Analytics, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work with data and translate findings into actionable insights
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment
Strong communication and documentation skills
Must be a student enrolled in an accredited university or institution pursuing an undergraduate degree in a related field
Preferred
Coursework or experience related to logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing operations
Familiarity with Lean principles or continuous improvement concepts
Prior exposure to SAP or ERP systems
Experience with process mapping or layout development tools
CAD (layout and material flow concepts – preferred)
SAP (inventory management, goods movements, material data – exposure preferred)
