They are seeking a Telecommunications Operator to operate the organization's central switchboard, answer and route calls, and communicate important alerts and announcements according to established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Receives and relays internal and external calls and provides general information according to policy and procedure
Troubleshoots system issues when needed
Operates beeper and paging system to contact to hospital personnel and code team
Communicates codes, alerts, drills and other announcements according to established policies and procedures, including disaster management plans
Utilizes desk directories, on-call lists, reference guides and other associated reference materials

Required

High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
1 year customer service experience or related field
Availability: Required to work Saturdays and Sundays from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with additional weekday hours as needed
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
