NEOGOV is seeking a Psychiatrist to join the Office of Mental Health at the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities in South Carolina. The role involves providing psychiatric evaluations, consultations, and treatment while supervising interdisciplinary treatment to ensure quality care for clients.

Responsibilities

Provide psychiatric evaluations, consultations, and implement psychiatric treatment when the level of care needed so warrants
Supervise interdisciplinary treatment through consultation, education and individual supervision
Conduct diagnostic staffings and ongoing treatment team meetings
Adhere to all Corporate Compliance, Outcome Evaluation, Research and Continuity of Care Policies and procedures. Maintain documentation of clinical services in accordance with State/Center/Quality Assurance standards
Provide staff education, medical student and psychiatric resident training, as needed

Qualification

Licensed to practice medicineCompletion of psychiatry residencyBoard certification in psychiatryBilingual in EnglishSpanishSupervise personnelPsychiatric medicinesTeachEducate

Required

Licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina
Completion of required residency in psychiatry and two (2) years direct patient care

Preferred

Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus
Board certification in psychiatry
