The Quality Engineer Intern will support the Quality team in maintaining and improving quality systems and processes within a regulated medical device manufacturing environment, gaining hands-on experience with quality engineering activities.

Medical Device

Responsibilities

Support manufacturing, inspection, qualification, and validation of products
Assist with quality improvements initiatives and continuous improvement projects
Learn and support Quality Management system (QMS), ISO 13485:2016, and customer/regulatory requirements
Learn how to work with customers and suppliers to resolve quality related issues
Conduct failure investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
Work cross functionally with other in-hours departments & contract manufacturers
Develop, review, and update-controlled documents such as Procedures, Manufacturing Procedures, Work Instructions, Forms, etc
Review and approve customer and internal drawings and specifications
Ensure that records are established, accurate and maintained per QMS requirements
Other duties as assigned

Required

Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills
Self-motivated and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time

Preferred

Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment
