KIP Summer 2026 - Public Affairs Intern - American Legislative Exchange Council
Stand Together is running the Koch Internship Program (KIP), a paid, 12-week experiential learning program that offers meaningful work experience at non-profits across the U.S. The Public Affairs Intern will engage in outreach campaigns and report releases, assisting with strategic communication and outreach efforts.

Responsibilities
Execute outreach campaigns and report releases targeted at opinion elites, legislators, and the media
Assist with report releases, op-ed placement, LTE- and speech writing for interns with political science or journalism backgrounds
Fill key roles on the team for interns with digital advocacy, marketing, or videography backgrounds
Qualification
Required
Eligible candidates will be geographically located within the U.S. and authorized to work in the U.S. through the duration of the program
Interns must be available every Thursday from 1-3:30 PM ET for virtual professional development training
Interns must attend the in-person summit at Stand Together's Headquarters in Arlington, VA June 3-4
Desire to work on strategic communication, outreach and engagement
Background or relevant coursework in political science, public relations, marketing or creative competencies such as graphic design or video production
Preferred
Interns with political science or journalism backgrounds will assist with the report releases, op-ed placement, LTE- and speech writing
Interns with a digital advocacy, marketing or videography background will also fill key roles on the team
