Head of Supply Chain & Logistics
Fitt Talent Partners is a specialized recruitment firm for top health and wellness companies, and they are filling this role for an innovative gut health supplement company. The Head of Supply Chain & Logistics will own the end-to-end execution of the supply chain, ensuring reliable manufacturing, storage, and delivery while maintaining quality and growth velocity.

Responsibilities
Own relationships with CMOs / manufacturers (domestic and international)
Manage production planning, batch scheduling, and PO execution
Ensure manufacturing partners meet quality, compliance, and performance standards
Lead onboarding and qualification of new manufacturers as the business scales
Dual-sourcing critical inputs (key actives, packaging, flavor systems)
Maintaining pre-qualified secondary suppliers and backup CMOs
Geographic diversification of suppliers and manufacturing where appropriate
Identifying long-lead and single-point-of-failure components early
Setting appropriate safety stock and buffer strategies based on demand variability and lead times
Ingredient and packaging sourcing strategy
Volume-based negotiations and supplier re-pricing
Batch size and MOQ optimization as demand scales
Freight, duties, and logistics cost optimization
Packaging and process efficiencies that reduce cost without impacting product quality or brand perception
Forecasting demand and setting inventory targets by SKU
Defining service levels (availability targets) based on SKU importance, velocity, and customer impact
Continuously adjusting inventory strategy as demand becomes more predictable
Optimizing warehouse footprint and location strategy to reduce delivery times and shipping costs
Managing and renegotiating 3PL contracts as volumes scale
Designing pick/pack workflows that minimize errors, delays, and handling costs
Optimizing carrier mix, shipping zones, and service levels
Balancing standard vs expedited shipping to protect margin
Improving order-to-delivery times while maintaining cost discipline
Partner closely with Product / NPD on feasibility, timelines, and cost targets
Provide early input into new product development to flag constraints or risks
Support marketing and commercial teams with realistic launch and availability planning
Act as a pragmatic counterweight when trade-offs are required
Qualification
Required
7–12+ years in supplements or functional CPG
Has owned supply chain at a scaling brand, not just supported it
Strong operator with commercial judgment
Comfortable building structure without slowing growth
Deep experience with: CMOs and ingredient suppliers
Deep experience with: MOQs and lead-time management
Deep experience with: Cost-down initiatives
Deep experience with: Inventory, warehousing, and fulfillment economics
