Mid LevelCOVET IT INC is seeking a DataStage - Infrastructure Platform Support Admin to manage and optimize their data platforms. The role involves administration, configuration, and operational support for DataStage, Snowflake, and Databricks, ensuring alignment with best practices for security and performance.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimization of the DataStage / Snowflake / Databricks platform to enable data analytics, machine learning, and data engineering activities within the organization
Responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining the platforms, and providing operational support
Install, configure, and maintain Datastage/ Snowflake /Databricks clusters and workspaces
Operational support responsibilities include platform set-up and configuration, workspace administration, resource monitoring, providing technical support to data engineering, Data Science/ML and Application /integration teams, performing restores/recoveries, troubleshooting service issues, determining the root causes of issues, and resolving issues
Assist in the deployment and configuration of Datastage / Snowflake / Databricks environments, ensuring alignment with best practices for security and performance
Maintain Platform currency with security, compliance, and patching best practices
Monitor and manage cluster performance, resource utilization, platform costs, and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance
Implement and manage access controls and security policies to protect sensitive data
Manage Azure / AWS resources related to DataStage / Snowflake / Databricks and networking configurations
Strong understanding of data engineering needs
Strong understanding of Azure / AWS infrastructure required by Datastage/ Snowflake / Databricks
Experience with compliance audits/audit documentation
Experience using APIs, system tables for creating admin related queries and dashboards
Understanding of the workspace, configuration, customization and development environment
Strong debugging skills, hands-on experience configuring modern data platforms such as Datastage, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse, AWS Glue/ Athena
Practical experience with:
Setting up data connections and credentials
Configuring catalogs, metadata, schemas, tags, and business terms
Applying role-based access control and security policies
Registering data assets and managing lineage/metadata
Familiarity with ETL/ ELT tools (DataStage, Informatica, Talend, dbt, ADF, StreamSets)
Knowledge of data governance fundamentals (glossary, classification, access policies)
