Responsibilities
Maintains the overall park grounds as directed by the Park Maintenance Foreman
Maintains areas included but not limited to: dam area, boat slips, boat ramps, beach, group camp, tent and RV camping areas
Repairs, sands, scrapes, paints, or stains tables, benches, fences, signs, doors, windows, roofs, and small structures
Installs and maintains landscaping. Mows grass, rakes trimmings, prunes and trims trees and shrubs. Uses a weed-eater around structures
Operates, services, cleans, and makes minor repairs to grounds maintenance equipment, including sharpening and maintaining hand and power tools, mowers, tractors, and small equipment. Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment
Inspects assigned grounds, facilities, and other areas for needed maintenance, repairs, or cleaning
Maintains the beach area to ensure trash and sharp objects are removed. Performs moss removal in the swimming area
Collects and removes trash and debris from public areas. Empties fire pits in camping areas
Cleans all shelter rental facilities following a check-out, assuring a clean and safe environment and positive public relations
Maintains safe conditions on the walking trails, sidewalks, and parking surfaces
Qualification
Required
Valid Driver's License
High school diploma or G.E.D.; one to three months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
High school diploma or G.E.D.; three to six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
