Regenerative Medicine Graduate Intern

Responsibilities

Design and develop 3D cancer models using synthetic hydrogels
Optimize protocols for 3D cell encapsulation and culture
Establish NK cell co-culture experiments to assess killing efficacy
Conduct imaging and quantitative analysis of cancer cell viability and immune cell interactions
Independently troubleshoot technical problems when they arise
Work cross-functionally with teams to integrate 3D models into broader research initiatives
Maintain accurate experimental records and prepare reports summarizing findings
Communicate project progress effectively in written and verbal formats
Present findings to broader Bio-Techne team at the end of the internship program

Required

Currently enrolled in a graduate program (Master's or Ph.D.) in Biomedical Engineering, Cancer Biology, Immunology, or related fields
Strong proficiency in sterile cell culture techniques including microscopy and flow cytometry
Familiarity with biomaterials (especially hydrogels)
Basic knowledge of immune cell biology, particularly NK cells
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both oral and written
Self-motivated and objective-oriented individual
Collaborative spirit and eagerness to learn

Preferred

1–2 years of prior research experience in cancer biology, immunology, or tissue engineering
Hands-on experience with synthetic/defined hydrogels, organoids, tumor, or other 3D models
Experience with live 3D cell imaging and quantitative image analysis
Demonstrated expertise in cell killing and cytotoxicity assays
Familiarity with data analysis tools
