KIP Summer 2026 - External Affairs Intern - Media Research Center
Stand Together is running the Koch Internship Program, offering meaningful work experience at non-profits across the U.S. The Media Research Center is seeking an External Affairs Intern to support coalition relations, outreach, and event planning efforts, providing a valuable opportunity for students or recent graduates passionate about conservative values.

Responsibilities
Assist with outreach to conservative coalition partners and allied organizations
Support weekly newsletter creation and distribution
Help organize and plan events
Update and maintain contact databases and lists
Conduct research to support External Affairs initiatives
Coordinate logistics and communications across departments as needed
Qualification
Required
Eligible candidates will be geographically located within the U.S. and authorized to work in the U.S. through the duration of the program
Interns must be available every other Thursday from 1-3:30 PM ET for virtual professional development training
Interns must attend the in-person summit at Stand Together's Headquarters in Arlington, VA June 3-4
The role is in-person only at MRC headquarters; remote work is not available
Pursuing or recently completed a degree in political science, government affairs, public relations, or a related field
Organized, self-motivated, and reliable
Strong time management and communication skills
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Interested in current events and the conservative movement
