Provide legal advice and support on regulatory matters impacting the insurance industry, including surplus lines, licensing, product filings, and regulatory inquiries
Advise senior management and business teams on the implications of changes in state and federal insurance laws and regulations
Draft and review regulatory responses, contracts, and insurance-related documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Assist with regulatory investigations and inquiries
Partner closely with internal business units (e.g., product development, compliance, underwriting, claims) to align regulatory requirements with business objectives
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments at the state and federal levels and provide proactive guidance on business impact
Assist in developing and implementing internal policies, procedures, and training programs related to regulatory compliance
Collaborate with external counsel and industry groups on regulatory matters, advocacy efforts, and strategic initiatives
Identify and manage legal and regulatory risks, offering practical, business-focused solutions to complex challenges
Qualification
