Computer Engineering Student Employee
Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) is seeking a Computer Engineering Student Employee to assist in the development and testing of application functionality. The role involves working under the guidance of senior engineers to design, test, and troubleshoot algorithms, as well as conducting research and creating 3D representations of industrial equipment.

Responsibilities
Actively participate in the definition, design, development, testing, support, and implementation of application functionality under the direction of an application manager or software engineer lead
Work with software engineer lead to test and troubleshoot algorithms on both web-based and physical based platforms (sensor packs, autonomous robotics systems)
Design and 3-D print items for robotic and sensor systems
Supports systems integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) with guidance from senior colleagues by providing insight to testing teams to define test plans
Research Industrial Electrical Machines/Systems and write summary information to be included in an expert system tool
Drawing of 3D representations of industrial equipment and machinery
Review of electrical power quality reports and data to facilitate transfer into separate customer data sets
Work with direction from both local and off-site managers
Qualification
Required
Computer Engineering or related discipline preferred
Willingness to learn physical computing
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Intermediate programming skills
Good teamwork skills and ability to learn from others
Strong time management skills and dedication to quality
Preferred
Experience in any of the following is a plus: C#/C++, JavaScript, HTML, Fusion 360/Autodesk Inventor
Familiarity with the following Language and Frameworks is a plus: Vue Framework, Vite, C/C++, C#, Python & Libraries, Typescript/Javascript, HTML/CSS, SQL Tools and Platform: GIT, Linux, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studios/Visual Code
