Responsibilities

Mowing and trimming of parks

Snow removal and plowing

Athletic field maintenance and preparation: grooming of infields, pitching mound maintenance, painting of soccer and football fields, chalking infields, and fence repair

Painting of park structures: buildings, signs, and trash barrels etc

Restroom cleaning and picnic facility preparation

Trash and litter collection

Tree maintenance: watering, fertilizing, mulching, pruning and wrapping for winter

Turf fertilization

Shrub and flower bed maintenance: weeding, pruning, watering, mulching, and fertilizing

Assist Fulltime Staff on technical maintenance or special projects: irrigation repair, equipment repair, landscaping construction and repairs to varied facilities

Weekend work is required

Assist in pool preparation & maintenance

Qualification

Required

Must be 18 years of age (by start of position) or older

High School Graduate or equivalent

Experience in home and yard maintenance activities

Ability to work outdoors in all kinds of weather

Must be self-motivated

Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record

Ability to bend, stoop, twist, lift, grip with or without accommodations
