This role is responsible for assisting students and parents in financing their education, reviewing financial assistance applications, and ensuring compliance with regulations while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
Managing a caseload of undergraduate students
Evaluating, analyzing, and processing detailed confidential reports to determine student eligibility for financial assistance using both federal and institutional methodology
Counseling student and families to help them make informed enrollment decisions and plan for their time at BU
Assisting the communications and outreach team in strengthening campus partnerships through presentations and events, both virtually and in-person
Ensuring that financial aid is packaged and disbursed and
Participating in internal committee meetings, such as the Satisfactory Academic Progress Committee
Qualification
Required
A cover letter is required for consideration
A bachelor's degree is required for this position
Has at least one year of previous experience in a similar role
Demonstrates strong analytical skills
Is an effective problem solver
Displays excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
Has the ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines
Works well independently and in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
Preferred
Working knowledge of federal and state financial aid policies, procedures, and regulations
Experience using PeopleSoft Campus Solutions
