Senior Environmental Engineer / Biological Monitor

Responsibilities
Safeguard wetlands, forests, and wildlife habitats during active construction
Monitor erosion controls, SWPPP compliance, and water quality protections
Conduct specialized acoustic bat monitoring throughout project phases
Oversee native plantings and invasive species management
Coordinate real-time solutions with construction teams and environmental specialists
Install and maintain environmental fencing, barriers, and protective signage
Manage wildlife relocations and dewatering activity oversight
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resources, or related field
Proven experience in environmental/biological monitoring on construction projects
Working knowledge of environmental permits, BMPs, and erosion controls
Strong documentation and communication skills
Ability to thrive in active construction environments
Preferred
5+ years of environmental audit experience
Acoustic bat monitoring expertise
Experience with habitat protection and invasive species management
Track record working with multidisciplinary teams on large-scale projects
