Principal Systems Engineer - New Glenn Stage 2

Responsibilities
Report to Sr. director and take ownership of project management for ESI deliverables, integrated scheduling, and budget oversight
Set clear, measurable, and strategic goals for the team and track progress toward achieving them
Manage, mentor, and develop the team
Identify, communicate, and mitigate ESI programmatic risks and opportunities
Communicate status, critical paths, and recommended solutions to director-level and executive leadership
Drive process improvements for technical program management, scheduling, budget, and cross-functional execution
Collaborate with systems engineering, design, manufacturing, and test organizations to ensure successful system design, validation, and verification
Promote a safe, ethical, and transparent working environment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in Engineering or relevant technical field
15+ years of engineering or technical program management experience, with 10+ years in project, program, or team leadership roles
Proven experience leading teams and processes in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
Strong strategic mentality with the ability to plan, prioritize, and align team activities with organizational goals
Effectively communicate across all levels of the organization
Consistent track record of achieving results in manufacturing, production, or test settings (preferably in aerospace)
Ability to operate, make decisions, lead, and make forward progress in complex and ambiguous environments
Experience with systems engineering principles, requirement management, and validation/verification processes
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Preferred
Advanced degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Aerospace
Master of Business Administration or MS in Engineering Management
Direct experience with launch vehicle or space system integration and testing
Progressively responsible experience in technical or project management roles in aerospace or related high-reliability industries
Experience across multiple portions of the product life cycle (design, analysis, manufacturing, integration, and test)
Experience with scheduling and project management tools (such as Primavera P6, MS Project), and data management software (Confluence, Jira, Tableau, SQL)
Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma Black Belt, and/or Lean Manufacturing Certifications
