Sr. Manager, Sales Planning & Forecasting

Novus Foods is seeking a Senior Manager, Commercial Planning & Forecasting who will serve as the primary strategic planning partner to the Sales organization. This role is responsible for ownership of the commercial budget and forecast, translating sales strategy and customer plans into actionable forecasts while ensuring alignment across various departments.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary commercial planning partner to Sales Leadership and key account teams
Lead development of the annual sales budget using customer-, item-, and channel-level forecasts
Translate sales strategies, customer plans, and growth initiatives into a fact-based, bottom-up revenue build
Ensure full transparency of assumptions, risks, and opportunities embedded in the budget
Support Sales Leadership during budget and forecast reviews with scenario-based insights and decision-ready analysis
Own the rolling commercial forecast across base business, innovation, and portfolio changes
Develop and maintain baseline, upside, and downside forecast scenarios at the item and customer level
Quantify the impact of customer initiatives, new launches, promotional activity, pricing actions, and market dynamics
Develop clear, executive-level narratives explaining forecast and budget changes for Monthly Board of Directors (BOD) meetings
Own the commercial pipeline model, including annual Risks & Opportunities (R&Os) and demand assumptions
Partner with Sales Operations to ensure CRM pipeline accuracy, discipline, and consistency
Translate pipeline activity into probability-weighted demand and revenue projections
Proactively identify and communicate gaps between pipeline, forecast, and budget expectations
Build sales-led forecasts for new items, innovation launches, and portfolio changes
Partner with Commercial Pricing and Marketing to support launch economics and proforma development
Support Sales in customer sell-in planning, launch timing, and volume phasing
Track post-launch performance versus forecast and budget and recommend corrective actions
Partner with Finance to align the sales budget and forecast with financial planning and reporting cycles
Collaborate with Supply Chain and Demand Planning to translate the commercial forecast into executable supply plans
Partner with Supply Chain and Demand Planning to plan, track, and evaluate Limited Time Offer (LTO) performance to improve planning accuracy and reduce waste
Partner with Revenue Growth Management (RGM) to incorporate pricing, promotion, and mix assumptions into the budget and forecast
Collaborate with Sales on customer and item assortment strategies to identify opportunities for simplification, consolidation, and efficiency
Lead monthly forecast and budget reviews with Sales Leadership and present results for Monthly BOD meetings
Maintain standardized forecasting, budgeting processes, and planning tools
Drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy, bias reduction, and planning effectiveness

Required

10+ years of experience in commercial planning, forecasting, sales operations, or related roles
Demonstrated experience building sales budgets from bottom-up, customer- and item-level forecasts
Proven ability to partner effectively with Sales Leadership and Finance
Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and executive storytelling skills
Strong influence and leadership capabilities across cross-functional teams without direct authority
