Axiom Global Technologies is seeking an experienced AWS GovCloud Landing Zone & Control Tower Architect to design, implement, and manage secure, compliant, and scalable AWS GovCloud environments. The role focuses on establishing enterprise-grade landing zones using AWS Control Tower while enforcing governance, security, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

Design and implement AWS GovCloud Landing Zones using AWS Control Tower

Establish multi-account strategy, OU structure, account vending, and guardrails

Configure and manage IAM, SCPs, AWS Organizations , and identity federation

Implement security baselines aligned with NIST, FedRAMP, CJIS, ITAR requirements

Enable centralized logging, monitoring, and audit (CloudTrail, CloudWatch, AWS Config)

Architect secure network connectivity using VPCs, Transit Gateway, VPN, Direct Connect

Integrate security services such as GuardDuty, Security Hub, Inspector, Macie

Automate infrastructure using Terraform / CloudFormation

Support Authority to Operate (ATO) documentation and compliance evidence

Collaborate with security, compliance, and application teams

Troubleshoot and optimize GovCloud environments for performance and cost

Provide architectural guidance and best practices to stakeholders

Required

Strong hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud (US-East / US-West)

Proven experience implementing AWS Control Tower and Landing Zones

Deep knowledge of AWS Organizations, SCPs, IAM, and account governance

Strong understanding of federal compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, CJIS)

Experience with network architecture in regulated cloud environments

Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation)

Strong knowledge of logging, monitoring, and security services

Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills
