Part-Time Event Management Intern - Intercollegiate Athletics
The Pennsylvania State University is hiring Part-Time Event Management Interns to assist with all aspects of event management for regular season intercollegiate home athletic events. The role involves tasks such as setting up events, managing event staff, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for participants.

Hang up/take down flags
Distribute/collect event equipment
Sign in event staff
Ensure proper set up/tear down for event
Greet visiting team/officials and escort to locker rooms
Direct security and other event staff as needed
Take attendance and ensure a safe, fun, enjoyable environment for all participants
Some prep/wrap up work in the office may be required
Assist with all aspects of possible Special Events and Big Ten/EIVA/AHA/NCAA Championships and Tournaments
Qualification
Required
Must be a current Penn State employee or student, or an external applicant
Ability to assist with all aspects of event management for intercollegiate home athletic events
Ability to hang up/take down flags
Ability to distribute/collect event equipment
Ability to sign in event staff
Ability to ensure proper set up/tear down for events
Ability to greet visiting teams/officials and escort them to locker rooms
Ability to direct security and other event staff as needed
Ability to take attendance and ensure a safe, fun, enjoyable environment for all participants
Ability to perform some prep/wrap up work in the office
Ability to assist with all aspects of possible Special Events and Championships/Tournaments
Successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies
Valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check
