Responsibilities
Help develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process
Recruit and network to build a diverse candidate pool through social media platforms, community partners, networking events, and job fairs
Build and foster relationships and connections with colleges across the state of North Carolina for recruiting top talent
Help to integrate an internship program that fosters development and experience and future talent for CHS
Partner with Director of Talent Acquisition, HR, and hiring managers to establish talent needs, essential job requirements for talent profiles, and competitive salaries for positions prior to posting for consistency across the organization
Assist with management of an internal posting process that communicates our openings effectively across our organization
Continue to build on our current job posting processes to improve the connection of talent needs with Human Resources so we can serve as the main sourcing vehicle
Gain an understanding of our current recruiting and hiring practices as you build a framework to help our program leaders find talent through social media and other practices with program alliances, community boards, colleges and other partnerships and search firms
Pre-screen applicants and select qualified candidates for leadership consideration
Partner with Director of TA to build a framework for screening applicants, recommendations to leaders, scheduling interviews, and creating a review committee to make sure we have a diverse pool of candidates to consider
Provide coaching on interview techniques, legal and illegal questions, and best practice onboarding
Work with our Marketing team to build our brand for recruiting
Collaborate with the hiring manager during the offer process to create offer, make offer, determine start dates, and other pertinent details
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies and practices
Partner with HR Team Members in HR and Talent related projects
Contribute to a positive, engaging work environment
Display sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics
Demonstrate the CHS Mission, Vision, and Values in the performance of all job duties
Participate actively in departmental meetings, training, and education, as well as the quality process
Comply with CHS’s code of conduct, policies, procedures, and other obligations
Perform other duties related to department goals and projects as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required
Professional HR certification preferred; SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR
At least five years of recruiting experience preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Interest and curiosity in our organization and the work we do collective
Excellent interpersonal skills with strong influence and negotiation capabilities
Excellent social media and multi-media experience around recruiting and or marketing
Experience and strong belief in equity, diversity, and inclusion
Build relationships and have influence
Create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles
Be proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative and executive effectively
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Work independently from a home office and maintain adherence to deadlines
Travel statewide with occasional overnight travel
Must be physically able to use standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
Availability for occasional evening and weekend hours
Maintain a valid North Carolina driver's license, adequate auto insurance, and have access to an operating vehicle to attend to CHS business
Preferred
Professional HR certification preferred; SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR
At least five years of recruiting experience preferred
