Solutions Engineer (Entry Level)

The Solutions Engineer will act as a technical advisor for wireless technologies, assisting customers in understanding Keysight's wireless and RF portfolio while providing training and support.

Responsibilities
Be a technical advisor in Wireless technologies for Keysight's strategic wireless ecosystem customers
Assist customers and Account Managers to understand the technical features and key differentiators of Keysight’s wireless and RF portfolio as per the use case
Present, position, and demonstrate the functionality and applicability of Keysight wireless and RF test solutions suiting customer's requirement
Lead and support proof of concept discussions and demonstrations with customers and Keysight R&D teams
Possess sufficient knowledge at a technical level, of competitor offerings and products, to be able to overcome a competitors’ technical advantage and exploit their comparative weaknesses
Provide training and continuous technical support to customers to help them adopt and use Keysight test solutions
Identify new and potentially strategically important customers and follow-up qualified leads to build long term business relationships that drive and generate revenues
Engage in scripting and bespoke development projects to provide customers with proven custom solutions tailored to their testing requirements
Participation in Keysight marketing events and Industry events as a Technology expert
Qualification
Required
Bachelor/Masters in Electronics and Communication Engineering, or related field with 1 year of experience in chipset/device or base station protocol and RF testing/development
Strong skill set in cellular RF and protocol testing and measurement applications
Thorough understanding of cellular technologies (LTE, 5G NR) and connectivity standards (IEEE 802.11ac/ax)
Excellent understanding of 5G NR FR1 and FR2 NSA/SA call procedures and messages (L1–L3), RF and protocol measurements, including chamber-based OTA testing
Strong knowledge of L1 operations between UE and eNodeB, including iRAT, handovers, MIMO, carrier aggregation (CA), and methods for validating UE performance at L1
Familiarity with 3GPP Releases (R15–R18), RAN4 and RAN5 test cases, interpretation, and UE applicability
Proficient with measurement instruments including 5G base station emulators, channel emulators, signal/spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
Working knowledge of scripting and test automation (Python, C++)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent articulation and presentation abilities
Creative thinker with the ability to analyze problems and develop solutions through multiple approaches
