InternPenn State University is seeking undergraduate students with an interest in artificial intelligence and machine learning to join their Visualization and Decision Support Division at the Applied Research Laboratory. Interns will develop cutting-edge AI/ML techniques to solve problems in computer vision and geospatial understanding while collaborating with research staff and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
Research and prototype unique algorithmic solutions in Python for a wide array of problems, with a focus on machine learning and artificial intelligence
Support machine learning model development using tools and technologies such as PyTorch, PostgreSQL, Amazon Web Services, Docker, and similar technologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning models into existing systems and develop new ones to meet specific project needs
Work within an agile development environment with other developers, a scrum master, and product owners to scope, develop, and deliver quality software solutions
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate students with interest in artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML)
Ability to research and prototype unique algorithmic solutions in Python for a wide array of problems, with a focus on machine learning and artificial intelligence
Support machine learning model development using tools and technologies such as PyTorch, PostgreSQL, Amazon Web Services, Docker, and similar technologies

Students studying Computer Science, Information Science and Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related fields are encouraged to apply
Possess the ability to obtain a government security clearance
Must be a U.S. citizen to apply
Successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen
