Responsibilities
Set up, review, and maintain client, matter, timekeeper, and rate data in 3E with a focus on accuracy and compliance
Serve as a subject-matter expert for 3E master file troubleshooting, partnering with billing teams and 3E users firmwide
Ensure data integrity across all master file components impacting billing and revenue
Review Outside Counsel Guidelines and engagement terms to ensure all billing requirements are correctly implemented in 3E
Configure and maintain complex rate arrangements, ensuring client-matter compliance prior to billing
Support and manage timekeeper rate submissions, including updates within the firm’s internal tracking system (MeBa)
Act as a primary liaison with e-Billing vendors to onboard new clients and resolve LEDES and submission issues
Support the firm’s e-Billing function by addressing matter, rate, and timekeeper compliance issues before they impact invoicing
Partner with Accounting, Billing, and administrative teams during new matter intake, ensuring seamless setup and compliance
Communicate directly with Partners, Associates, and business services professionals to resolve issues efficiently
Assist the Client Compliance Manager with ad hoc projects and process improvements
Train and support new and existing staff on 3E master file best practices and compliance standards
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience with Elite 3E (law firm environment required)
Strong understanding of client/matter setup, rate structures, and e-Billing compliance
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-standards law firm environment
Preferred
BA/BS in Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field
Experience supporting AmLaw or large international law firms
Familiarity with LEDES formats, e-Billing platforms, and Outside Counsel Guidelines
