Senior Financial and Operations Analyst_FP&A

They are seeking a Senior Financial & Operations Analyst who will produce financial insights, support forecasting and budgeting, and partner with various teams to drive operational improvements.

Responsibilities
Produce and present weekly and monthly sales dashboards using data from QuickBooks, Kinetic (Epicor), and BI tools
Lead conversations with business partners around sales performance, cost drivers, and projections
Build and maintain financial models that connect operational outcomes to financial results
Support forecasting and budgeting cycles—including sales projections, volume planning, and variance analysis
Conduct deep-dive analysis to identify root causes using tools such as 5 Whys, Pareto charts, and trend analysis
Transform large volumes of data into actionable insights for senior leaders
Evaluate inventory recommendations by product and make strategic carry/sell proposals
Assess current business processes and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, cost savings, and delivery performance
Help develop and enhance dashboards, automated reporting, and BI tools (Power BI preferred)
Maintain data integrity within product hierarchies, sales/production mix, and operational efficiency metrics
Support creation, reporting, and continuous improvement of key performance indicators (KPIs)
Partner closely with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Product teams
Execute ad-hoc analysis and high‑impact projects for business leaders
Facilitate productive, insight‑driven meetings and help drive consensus across teams
Living in Excel and PowerPoint—pulling, validating, and modeling data
Creating weekly dashboards and presenting insights to business partners
Leading discussions around sales trends, cost implications, and forecasting adjustments
Solving ambiguous problems by asking smart questions and building the right analysis
Owning your work—catching errors, correcting them, and explaining how you fixed them
Balancing shifting priorities across multiple business units in a deadline-driven environment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Operations Management, Economics, Statistics, or related field
2–3 years of financial or operational analysis experience required (5+ preferred)
Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, modeling, data manipulation)
Strong PowerPoint skills and comfort presenting to stakeholders
Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and sales or demand projections
Demonstrated ability to think strategically while operating in the details
Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to build a story from month-end results
Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and own mistakes with accountability
Preferred
Experience with ERP systems—Kinetic (Epicor) or QuickBooks strongly preferred
Power BI or other BI/analytics tools
Statistical or ADA modeling skills
Manufacturing industry experience
Experience using root-cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Pareto, action-item tracking)
