Responsibilities
Build the newly envisioned STEM-D2 program at The Winston School
Shepherd the new program alongside fellow faculty and community partnerships
Lead with STEM in learning different education
Design learning experiences that meet the needs of a diverse group of students
Build empathy, community connections, and capacity of students
Work with neurodivergent populations and create learning opportunities that incorporate multi-modal instruction, differentiated assessment, and inquiry-driven approaches
Collaborate with colleagues to design and adapt instruction for a range of student learning needs and interests
Establish strong relationships with students and provide effective communication with parents regarding students’ behaviors, academic concerns, and holistic progress
Qualification
Required
Strong background in science, mathematics, and/or technology
Passion for designing learning experiences that meet the needs of a diverse group of students
Background working with neurodivergent populations
Passion for creating learning opportunities that incorporate multi-modal instruction, differentiated assessment, and inquiry-driven approaches
Capability and confidence working alongside students with ADHD, dyslexia/dysgraphia, ASD (Level 1) and other high-incidence, related learning differences
Skillfully differentiated instruction
Highly collaborative and committed to designing and adapting instruction to meet a range of student learning needs and interests
Skilled in establishing strong relationships with students
Effective and consistent communication with parents regarding students' behaviors, academic concerns, and holistic progress
