Responsibilities
Own the IAM (Identity, Authentication, Authorization) product vision and roadmap
Translate business, security, and compliance needs into technical product requirements
Own and prioritize the IAM Team backlog and Sprint backlog
Write clear, technical user stories with acceptance criteria
Break down complex IAM capabilities into incremental, deliverable features
Prioritize work based on risk, regulatory impact, and business value
Act as the bridge between engineering, security, and architecture
Collaborate on IAM methods and models for SSO, MFA, RBAC, ABAC and JML
Understand and influence IAM architecture decisions without being the sole architect
Identifies, engages and influences business stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts
Evaluate and integrate IAM tools/platforms like Entra ID, Okta, Ping, SailPoint, ForgeRock
Ensure IAM solutions meet security best practices Zero Trust, least privilege
Prioritize vulnerabilities and security debt in the backlog
Collaborate and Work with cross functional teams DEV, QA, Release and Business
Translate non-technical needs into IAM capabilities and explain IAM impacts in plain language
Manage expectations around risk, timelines, and constraints
Participate in sprint planning, refinement, demos, and retros
Accept or reject completed work based on technical and functional acceptance criteria
Coordinate IAM releases, which often require careful change management
Support IAM operations by improving stability and automation
Analyze production metrics and incidents to feed backlog improvements
Track IAM trends (password less, passkeys, decentralized identity, AI-driven access)
Sunset legacy IAM processes and technical debt
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience in Security, IAM, with experience as a Product Owner or Technical Lead
Strong hands-on knowledge of IAM platforms (Okta, Azure AD, Ping, SailPoint, ForgeRock, etc.)
Experience working in SAFe Agile / Scrum environments
Ability to write clear technical user stories and prioritize effectively
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred
Forge Rock experience is a huge plus
