Ultium Cells LLC is a joint venture lithium-Ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solutions and General Motors. They are actively searching for Inspection Engineer (Vision Systems) Intern candidates to join the Electrode Department, providing hands-on experience with battery manufacturing and automation.

Responsibilities

Hands on experience and with Vision System installation on the Manufacturing Floor
Analyze some of the initial data and build Davinci dashboards to visualize this data and gain insights to potential problems
Testing and verifying a deep learning model. We are developing for 2nd pass inspection
Continuous Improvement Process Optimization, Equipment Efficiency Improvement, and Productivity Enhancement Projects with Engineers
Ability to use Logical thinking and decision making by focusing on identifying root cause objectively using data, analyzing production results, and following proven problem-solving methods
Knowledge of Mechanical/technical curiosity and mindset

Required

Currently enrolled as a Sophomore, Junior or Senior in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering degree program, or a recent graduate
Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively articulating ideas and collaborating with team members
Analytical mindset with a strong focus on problem-solving, continuous improvement, and the ability to adapt to changing financial landscapes
Availability for a flexible work schedule, accommodating occasional demands outside the standard work hours
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and achieve shared goals
