Responsibilities
Responsible for the coordination and implementation of the Department of Adult Correction Administrative Remedy Procedures/Grievance Program for the assigned prison facility
Provide offenders an opportunity for administrative settlement of legitimate grievances
Monitoring the grievance program to ensure the process meets Department of Adult Correctional policy requirements
Maintain knowledge of the Administrative Remedy Procedures/Grievance Program and consult with staff and offenders to provide guidance in the resolution of concerns/issues
Assist with investigating grievance claims by researching and gathering facts for response to the offender
Analyze data and complete reports on grievances while demonstrating the ability to organize and complete work assignments with minimal guidance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
The position requires a thorough working knowledge of the agency's Administrative Remedy Procedure Policy, forms utilized in the processing publications and correspondence(s) received from each facility/institution
Must have proficiency in the use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Databases)
