Technical Documentation & Training Specialist

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain operations and maintenance training technical content, including presentations and accompanying materials
Assess engineering data for impacts to existing technical content
Create and maintain technical manuals, including content addressing system functional theory, operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, schematics, and illustrated parts breakdowns, utilizing compiled technical reports, drawings, and parts lists
Support customer meetings, In-Process Reviews (IPRs), Comment Resolution Matrix (CRM) adjudication, Peer Reviews, and validation requirements for training and technical manual related materials
Generate monthly metrics to support program reviews, customer/partner data requests, and Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL) submittals
Research technical documentation, engineering personnel input, and other subject matter experts to design effective learning and documentation solutions
Deliver instructor-led classroom training to stakeholders as required
Conduct training sessions and assist in evaluating the effectiveness of training activities and materials
Interfacing with the DoD customer and international partner to optimize products and solutions in support of achieving maximum Operational Readiness and compliance to contractual requirements as well as establishing open communications and building trust
This role will require approximately 15% international and domestic travel

Required

A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
Experience in training delivery, training development, and/or technical manual development
Experience in creating or editing written technical or non-technical documentation in a military or civilian environment

Preferred

Ability to analyze technical documentation and training materials while working independently and collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines
Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills, with proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft 365 applications
Experience writing to military specifications and familiarity with radar, sensor systems, or other advanced electronic systems, particularly within DoD programs
Demonstrated success in managing competing priorities, tasks, and commitments in dynamic environments, including Agile project support
Master Instructor or Master Training Specialist Certification, or equivalent training expertise, with a self-driven approach to ownership of training and technical manual projects
