BAR Architects & Interiors is seeking a highly motivated HR + Office Assistant to join their Los Angeles office. The role involves providing administrative and HR support, managing employee records, assisting with recruitment and onboarding, and general office assistance.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative support across all HR functions
Data entry for Employee Records in Vision, Employee Navigator and Paylocity
Assist with the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing paperwork and orientation logistics
Support recruiting efforts, including job postings, scheduling interviews, career day events, and other related tasks
Help maintain intranet content
Respond to routine questions on HR policy, resources, and tools
Support for specialized HR projects and department logistics as identified
Administrative support plus answering phones and greeting visitors
Maintaining supplies, catering coordination, and credit card reconciliation
Office equipment/IT support and other general projects, as needed
Support for occasional SF office projects as identified

Required

2-3 years experience in Human Resources and/or an Office Assistant position
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
Excellent verbal communication skills: can confidently communicate with staff at all levels as well as interact with clients, consultants, applicants, and other stakeholders
Ability to manage competing priorities; highly organized, flexible, and timely in work habits
Active listener and avid note-taker
Composed and positive during tight deadlines
Basic business writing skills including awareness of appropriate style and tone
Can-do attitude and an interest in seeking or developing new projects or processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and experience with Zoom, or similar, phone, chat, video tools
Command of all basic office equipment and facility for learning equipment or software specific to AEC Industry
Associate or Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or equivalent work experience
Able to work onsite; this is not a hybrid or remote position
Able to work on a computer, able to answer, screen, and direct phone calls and able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
Enthusiasm for your work and the work of the firm

Preferred

Deltek Vision, Paylocity, and Adobe CS experience are a plus, but not required
An interest in design and the built environment is a plus
