Advanced Technology Systems Engineering Section Leader

The Manager, Systems Engineering – Advanced Technology System Engineering Section Lead will supervise a team of engineers, guiding them to achieve departmental goals while solving system engineering problems to support key business captures and current programs.

Responsibilities

You will act as a key manager and mentor for 10 - 15 Systems Engineers
You will influence, foster teamwork, and enable interdependent execution
You will participate in talent acquisition, goal setting, performance development, and appraisal of assigned employees
You will ensure each direct report has suitable work assignments and opportunities for growth and career advancement
You will support the team as an individual contributor, enhancing your technical skills

Qualification

System EngineeringMissile ApplicationsTechnical LeadershipHardware/Software IntegrationAdvanced Technology KnowledgeMentoringCommunication Skills

Required

Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience
System Engineering experience on missile applications for customer programs
Experience working with missile systems requirements, interfaces, or architecture development and management
Technical and/or functional Engineering leadership experience
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred

An advanced degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related discipline
Experience with hardware/software integration
Experience and knowledge of the Advanced Technology portfolios
Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM)
Experience developing and mentoring new employees
Experience communicating with different levels of employees, departments, and customers
