Responsibilities
Review and improve security configurations across endpoint, network, and cloud environments
Support endpoint and network protection initiatives, including EDR/XDR and VPN hardening
Assist with vulnerability management, patching, and configuration improvements
Monitor and triage security alerts from SIEM, endpoint, email, and cloud security tools
Investigate suspicious activity and help distinguish true security incidents from false positives
Support incident response activities, documentation, and post-incident improvements
Help maintain asset visibility and ensure systems are reporting correctly into monitoring tools
Contribute to security playbooks, runbooks, and operational documentation
Collaborate with infrastructure, IT, and security teams to improve overall security posture
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations, IT systems, or network operations
Working knowledge of endpoint security concepts (EDR/XDR, endpoint hardening)
Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, SMTP)
Experience with Windows and/or Linux environments
Familiarity with identity and access management concepts (Active Directory, authentication, MFA)
Exposure to SIEM, vulnerability management, email security, or cloud security tools
Basic scripting or automation skills (Python, PowerShell, or Bash preferred)
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear written communication
Preferred
SOC or incident response experience
Experience tuning detections or improving alert quality
Exposure to SOAR tools or automation workflows
Experience working in distributed or remote teams
