CNC Programmer

Control Devices LLC is a leading designer and manufacturer of high-quality flow control valves and related components. They are seeking a CNC Programmer to launch a newly developed offline programming department aimed at improving CNC throughput, quality, and process standardization.

Responsibilities

Utilize appropriate integration software (Esprit, etc.) to transfer engineered models (SolidWorks, etc.) into the appropriate machine language for manufacturability
Perform process on an offline workstation so CNC programs can be simulated prior to download to improve quality, machinability, and equipment throughput
Create centralized location on the company network to store proven programs for download to the various CNC machines
Work collectively with the department tech leads to prove out programs and continually look for opportunities to reduce cycle times on the shop floor
Evaluate and analyze new, and revised, engineering drawings/models for accuracy, manufacturability, and feasibility
Initiate, evaluate, and implement process improvements primarily focused on cost reductions, quality improvements, and safety
Interface with other departments while creating/revising machining processes to resolve issues and/or improve manufacturability
All other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma/GED
Formal Machinist training with certificate and/or previous experience
Minimum 5 years CNC Programming experience
