Responsibilities
Independently manage an active litigation docket
Draft and argue motions, including summary judgment and discovery motions
Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed
Prepare clients, adjusters, witnesses, and experts for depositions and testimony
Evaluate claims, assess exposure, and communicate case strategy to carriers and clients
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active license with the Texas Bar (in good standing)
2–10+ years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience required
Strong knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure
Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills
Proven ability to handle a litigation caseload with minimal supervision
Professional communication skills with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel
Preferred
Trial experience is a plus but not required
