Financial Analyst II

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is one of the largest agencies in the state, responsible for ensuring health and human services for North Carolinians. The Financial Analyst II will support the Provider Reimbursements Unit, focusing on financial analysis related to Medicaid programs, including rate setting and compliance with state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

Supporting rate setting, waivers, SPAs, and other reimbursement needs for a set of Medicaid Programs
Perform financial analysis on assigned providers to determine payment rates
Researching, understanding, and interpreting state and federal regulations for programs
Keeping up to date with the frequent need to modify the regulations for changes to the respective programs
Making comparative analysis with prior years’ cost information for the individual facility as well as other facilities and additionally with national and industry data

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting, banking, finance, business administration, economics, or related discipline from an accredited institution and 1 year of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
