Responsibilities
Read electrical equipment drawings and markup to reflect new equipment
Develop technical documents showing transition from old to new exciters, static starts and control systems
Walk job sites and interface directly with customers to determine site conditions and customer requirements
Develop interconnection drawings and cable schedules
Develop equipment general arrangement and power bus routing drawings
Develop specifications and generate ordering drawings for electrical equipment, transformers, power bus and equipment houses
Communicate with internal manufacturing groups and external vendors to ensure all fabrication details are understood
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
Minimum 3 years of experience developing installation packages, field engineering or as design engineer in a power plant or heavy industrial environment, with retrofit installation background
Ability and willingness to travel about 15% of the time, to customer and vendor sites for customer meetings and equipment inspections mainly in US
Ability to develop detailed engineering design packages
Customer service oriented
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter with the ability to deal with varied and multiple project assignments simultaneously
Preferred
Experience with GE Excitation and Turbine Control products desired
