Responsibilities
Assist with inspecting, testing, and maintaining backflow prevention assemblies to ensure proper operation and water system protection
Support cross-connection control, sanitary surveys, and compliance inspections at City and industrial facilities
Help collect samples, document findings, complete inspection reports, and maintain program records for audits and regulatory tracking
Assist with monitoring and supporting City compliance with environmental programs, including Industrial Pretreatment, Well-field Protection, and Backflow Prevention
Communicate professionally with City staff, contractors, and regulatory agencies, and assist during inspections, follow-ups, and emergency response activities as needed
Qualification
Required
Strong attention to detail, organizational, oral and written communication skills
Ability to analyze assigned problems, gather and organize data, and arrive at valid conclusions
Preferred
Prefer candidates that are majoring in Environmental Science, Engineering, Public Health, or related field
