Human Resources Representative
SFE - Southwest Foodservice Excellence is a growing organization seeking a Human Resources Representative to support their HR operations. The role involves managing employee onboarding, maintaining HR data accuracy, and assisting with compliance reporting and employee relations.

Responsibilities
Responsible for working with new employees in the pre-boarding and onboarding process to ensure all information is accurate and the company complies with employment laws. ADP Data Validation daily owner
Inputs maintain, audit, extract, manipulate, and analyze confidential HR data from the various modules (i.e., Recruitment, Talent Management & Employee Records)
Runs periodic data audits of HRIS data to ensure data consistency and accuracy
Assist 3rd-party auditors with HR information needed for compliance reporting
Tracks employee acknowledgments (policies/handbooks, etc.)
Tracks compliance training (when needed)
Handle employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR contact
Supports Engagement/Recognition/Community Services Committee’s initiatives
Employee Relations intake calls/emails as needed/record of conversations
May handle simple employee relations issues (attendance and minor violations)
Respond to all Unemployment Claims
Conduct all I-9 Audits and ensure the process is being followed. Execute terminations on all who are not legally compliant/not meeting employment requirements
Complete all employment verifications
Complete hourly new hires in ADP. Ensure they are in the correct scheduled hours, ACA grouping, union code…etc
Take phone calls to help employees navigate ADP tasks
Auditing data in the system as needed (WC class, exempt status, accruals, tax codes, correct billing/district…etc.)
Special projects as assigned to help elevate/advance HR department
Conduct any HR employee surveys by partnering with L&D and TA
Manage the employee files and keep them up to date per record retention laws. Electronic filing of all documents for the employee file
Send separation forms to state governments
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 1 to 2 years of experience/Human Resources
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel)
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to support and communicate with employees at all levels of the company
Reliable transportation
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Hold strong decision-making and interpersonal skills with sound judgment
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to support the organization from an HR perspective internally and externally by working together as a team, building collaborative relationships
Perform work under general supervision
Handles moderately complex issues and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff
Possess solid working knowledge of subject matter
May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group
Ability to pass an extensive nationwide criminal background check
