Responsibilities
Support product and concept design initiatives for thermoformed and thermo-packaging products
Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and machine components to support manufacturing processes
Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks
Collaborate with manufacturing, tooling, and quality teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective
Assist with design iterations, engineering changes, and continuous improvement initiatives
Participate in prototype development, testing, and design validation activities
Maintain accurate engineering documentation, BOMs, and revision control
Support cross-functional teams with technical problem-solving and design optimization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
2-5+ years of design engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Thermoforming / thermo-packaging experience
Proficiency with SolidWorks (3D modeling and detailed drawings)
Understanding of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturability principles
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
Preferred
Experience with tooling and machine design strongly preferred
