Fluids Systems Analysis Engineer II - New Glenn Stage 2
Blue Origin is working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems. The Fluids Systems Analysis Engineer II role involves leading the development of fluid systems for rockets, engaging in all levels of the design cycle, and ensuring the systems work together effectively.

Responsibilities
Strong understanding of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics
Work with fluid components (i.e., solenoid valves, pneumatic valves, regulators, pumps, instrumentation, etc)
Author component specifications and handle suppliers through design, development, qualification and delivery of flight hardware
Work closely with other groups to ensure your systems work together, resolving issues with calculated risk
Following design efforts, you will lead and participate in component and system level testing and data analysis
To be successful in this role good project management skills are vital including vendor management, scheduling, and budget tracking
Work with REFPROP, SINDA/FLUINT and Thermal Desktop or other fluid modeling software
Work with 3D CAD programs (Creo preferred) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) programs (ANSYS Preferred)
Deliver completed designs using the best draft practicing per ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards along with clear and well detailed analysis reports
Qualification
Required
Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering
Strong understanding thermodynamic and fluid mechanics
Proven experience with spacecraft or launch vehicle fluid system component design or test
Proven understanding of fluid components such as valves, pressure vessels, flex elements and fittings
Knowledge of fabrication, integration processes and quality control relative to tubes/piping and machined components
Experience fixing fluids hardware
Strong understanding of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics

Experience with data acquisition systems
Experience with the application and use of welding
Experience modeling cryogenic fluids

Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
Knowledge of other tools including MATLAB, Python
