Responsibilities
Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location
Control access at entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining visitor and vehicle logs, and directing drivers, employees, and contractors to the proper check-in areas
Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems; report suspicious activity and help to deter unauthorized entry by following post orders and escalation protocols
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, and/or disturbances, and notify Allied Universal supervision and site contacts as required
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including yards, trailer lots, and loading dock areas; working environments and conditions may vary by client site
Qualification
Required
Be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
