Administrative Associate II (Temporary Solutions)

The State of North Carolina is seeking an Administrative Associate II to provide essential administrative support within the NC Community College System. This temporary position involves managing front desk operations, assisting with office tasks, and ensuring efficient communication and organization within the office.

Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, faculty, staff, and the general public by providing courteous and professional reception services
Answer and route incoming telephone calls; provide general information and refer inquiries to appropriate departments or personnel
Manage visitor access in accordance with established office security and access control procedures
Perform copying, printing, scanning, mail distribution, and other routine office support tasks
Maintain reception and common office areas in an orderly and professional manner
Assist with basic recordkeeping, filing, and document preparation
Provide administrative support to staff and assist other departments or sections as needed to support office operations
Follow college system, and departmental policies and procedures

Required

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP).
